Join Chef Thomas Tuggle from 1799 and Von Wotring from Curio brewing company for The Harpeth’s 2nd annual Brew’n and BBQ’n event!

Chef Thomas will go through everything it means to BBQ. He will talk about different types of smokers, smoking materials, and tips of optimal smoking. You will learn about the difference between dry and wet smoking, types of bines and aging meats. He will also discuss the meats used in 1799 and how to source the best cuts and the drinks that pair best with them.

Von from Curio Brewing will discuss the different styles of beer, how beer is made and the process that he follows at his Franklin brewery.

As Chef Thomas and Von discuss the different processes, you will be able to eat some of chef’s amazing BBQ dishes and drink different selections of Curio’s beer. At the end of the event, you will get to take home a Bottle of House Made Barbeque sauce, a Bottle of 1799 BBQ Spice Rub and a 32oz Growler of your favorite Curio beer!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

The experience will be in a group setting with approximately 40 other people.

An engaging afternoon with the Chefs at 1799 who will dive deep into the processes of grilling and smoking.

You will be standing, Cooking, Eating and Drinking all class.

You will be tasting and engaging with alcohol and must be at least 21 year of age with Valid ID.

The Class will last approximately 2 hours.

You will work with others in and share workstations and equipment.

Our recipes are developed using traditional and modern cooking techniques and all ingredients may not be listed in the menu. If you have any food allergies, please give us a call before booking. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during the class.
